    The most widely reported standard to determine if the Seine River was clean enough to swim in during the 2024 Summer #Olympics in Paris was the concentration of E. coli. But is testing E. coli concentration enough? ASBMB Today contributor Andrea Lius dove into the topic and talked to scientists about why E. coli is an imperfect metric for assessing water quality.
