    In memoriam: Alan G. Goodridge

    Alan G. Goodridge, a longtime associate editor of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, died August 8 at age 88. He had been an American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology member since 1971.

    In memoriam: Michael J. Chamberlin

    Michael J. Chamberlin, an editorial board member of the Journal of Biological Chemistry and a pioneer in the study of transcription, died on November 1 at age 88. He was an American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology member for nearly 60 years.

    In memoriam: Rodney E. Harrington

    Rodney E. Harrington helped clarify how chromatin's physical properties and DNA structure shift during interactions with proteins that control gene expression and was an ASBMB member for 43 years.

    He is the namesake for the Walter A. Shaw Young Investigator Award in Lipid Research and founded Avanti Polar Lipids.

    In memoriam: Joel Habener

    He discovered GLP-1, which helped pave the way for transformative diabetes and obesity therapies, and he was an ASBMB member for 25 years.

    In memoriam: Richard Wolfenden

    He was an enzymologist whose work helped spur the development of ACE inhibitor drugs and has been an ASBMB member since 1967.
