Hi Sanat! One of my best friends is a professor at UTA - Dr. Caitlin Maynard. She primarily focuses on undergraduate education, but if you ever meet her there, you two should connect! I hope your graduate studies are going smoothly!

Howdy, y'all! I'm excited to be here! I'm Haley Barlow, Sr. Program Manager of Outreach at UMass Chan Medical School Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biotechnology (bit of a mouthful). I also provide scientific editing services for manuscripts and grants through my business, Dr. Haley Barlow Consulting (not spectacularly creative, but gets the job done) (www.drhaleybarlow.com). I did my bachelor's at the University of Notre Dame and my PhD at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where I studied how our cells form complicated structures like our organs before we are born (aka developmental organ morphogenesis). Happy to meet y'all!

    Hi,

I earned my doctorate in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology from The Pennsylvania State University. I am currently an Assistant Program Director for the Millennium Scholars at PSU. In this role I support students who are in their 4th year (or beyond) to prepare for the next phase of their life. While Millennium Scholars Programs emphasizes students pursue a PhD, I also support them if they are going to industry or taking a gap year or medical school. I am an advocate for holistic wellness. I'm a fitness instructor (yoga and barre) and I own multiple businesses.

I volunteer in the lab where I earned my PhD further studying the changes in metabolism that are linked to muscle dysfunction as a result of inborn errors in purine metabolism.
